2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Blend ("the Platform"), including our website (blend.ae), mobile applications, and related services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Blend Technologies FZ-LLC. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Platform following any modifications indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.
3. Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the Blend website, mobile applications, and all related services.
- "User" refers to any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Platform.
- "Organizer" refers to Users who create and manage events on the Platform.
- "Attendee" refers to Users who register for or attend events.
- "Event" refers to any gathering, activity, or experience listed on the Platform.
- "Ticket" refers to a booking or registration for an Event.
- "Content" refers to any text, images, videos, or other materials uploaded to the Platform.
4. Description of Service
Blend is a community platform that enables users to discover, create, and participate in events and group activities in the United Arab Emirates and surrounding regions. Our services include:
- Event discovery and search functionality
- Event creation and management tools for organizers
- Ticket booking and registration systems
- Secure payment processing via Stripe
- Community group features and social interactions
- QR code-based event check-in
- Event analytics and reporting for organizers
- Communication tools between organizers and attendees
5. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. By creating an account, you agree to:
- Be at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent if between 13-18 years of age
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Not share your account with others or allow unauthorized access
- Not create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for extended periods.
6. Event Hosting Terms (For Organizers)
Event organizers agree to the following obligations:
- Provide accurate and complete event information including date, time, location, pricing, and capacity
- Comply with all applicable local laws, regulations, and permit requirements
- Obtain necessary licenses, permits, and insurance for your events
- Ensure events are safe and accessible for attendees
- Not post events that are misleading, fraudulent, or violate our Content Guidelines
- Honor all ticket sales and provide the services/experiences as advertised
- Handle attendee data in accordance with applicable privacy laws
- Respond to attendee inquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain appropriate liability insurance for your events
Organizer Liability: Organizers are solely responsible for their events, including any injuries, damages, or losses that occur. Blend acts only as a platform facilitating connections between organizers and attendees.
7. Ticket Purchases & Payment Terms
7.1 Ticket Purchases
- All ticket purchases are subject to availability
- Prices are displayed in the specified currency (typically AED) and include applicable platform fees
- A valid payment method is required to complete purchases
- Tickets are non-transferable unless specifically allowed by the organizer
- You will receive confirmation of your purchase via email
7.2 Platform Fees
Blend charges a platform service fee on paid event tickets. This fee covers payment processing, platform maintenance, and customer support. The fee structure is:
- Free Events: No platform fees
- Paid Events: 8% processing fee on the ticket price, added at checkout
All fees are clearly displayed before purchase confirmation. Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe.
7.3 Payment Processing
- We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and Apple Pay
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Your payment information is never stored on our servers
- Organizers receive payouts after the event conclusion, minus applicable fees
8. Refund & Cancellation Policy

8.1 Event Cancellation by Organizer
- If an organizer cancels an event, all ticket holders will receive a full refund
- Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days
- Platform fees will also be refunded in case of organizer cancellation
8.2 Refund Requests by Attendees
- Refund eligibility is determined by each organizer's individual refund policy
- Requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the event start time
- Platform fees are non-refundable for attendee-initiated cancellations

8.3 Non-Refundable Situations
- No-shows or failure to attend the event
- Requests made after the event has started
- Events where the organizer has specified a "no refund" policy
9. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not:
- Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content or event listings
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against other users
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Attempt to circumvent security measures or gain unauthorized access
- Resell tickets at inflated prices without organizer authorization
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
- Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Collect or harvest user data without consent
- Promote violence, hatred, or illegal activities
- Post adult content or content unsuitable for general audiences
10. Content Guidelines
All content posted on the Platform must comply with our guidelines:
- Content must be accurate and not misleading
- You must have the right to post any content you share
- Content must not infringe on intellectual property rights
- Event images must accurately represent the event
- Descriptions must be clear and honest about what attendees can expect
- Pricing must be transparent with no hidden fees
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without prior notice.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on the Platform are owned by Blend Technologies FZ-LLC or its licensors. Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant Blend a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content for platform operations and marketing purposes.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Platform or its content without express written permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
Platform "As Is": Blend provides the Platform "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Blend's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Blend in the 12 months preceding the claim, or AED 500, whichever is greater.
Exclusions: We are not liable for:
- Events organized by third parties, including any injuries, damages, or losses
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Service interruptions or technical failures
- Actions or content of other users or third parties
- Force majeure events including natural disasters, pandemics, or government actions
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Blend Technologies FZ-LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of third parties; (d) events you organize through the Platform; or (e) content you post on the Platform.
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Informal Resolution: Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@blendapp.ae to attempt to resolve any dispute informally within 30 days.
14.2 Mediation: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall first be submitted to mediation in accordance with the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).
14.3 Arbitration: If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under DIAC rules. The arbitration shall take place in Dubai, UAE, and be conducted in English.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes not resolved through arbitration shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
16. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Repeated complaints from other users
- Extended periods of inactivity
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@blendapp.ae. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately.
17. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Platform. We will notify users of material changes via email or prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
