At Blend, we understand that plans can change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines our guidelines for refunds, cancellations, and transfers for event tickets purchased through our platform.
Please note that Blend acts as an intermediary platform connecting event organizers with attendees. Individual event refund policies may vary based on the organizer's terms.

2. Event Cancellation by Organizer
If an event organizer cancels their event:
- Full Refund: All ticket holders will automatically receive a full refund, including the platform processing fee
- Processing Time: Refunds will be initiated within 48 hours and processed within 7-10 business days
- Notification: You will receive an email notification about the cancellation and refund
- No Action Required: Refunds are processed automatically to your original payment method
3. Event Rescheduling
If an event is rescheduled to a different date or time:
- Automatic Transfer: Your ticket remains valid for the new date
- Refund Option: If you cannot attend the rescheduled event, you may request a refund within 7 days of the rescheduling announcement
- Notification: You will be notified via email of any schedule changes
4. Attendee-Initiated Cancellations
If you need to cancel your ticket, the refund eligibility depends on the organizer's refund policy:
4.1 Standard Refund Policy (Default)
Unless otherwise specified by the organizer:
- More than 7 days before event: Full ticket price refund (processing fee non-refundable)
- 3-7 days before event: 50% of ticket price refund
- Less than 48 hours before event: No refund
- After event starts: No refund
4.2 Organizer-Specific Policies
Some organizers may have different refund policies (more or less restrictive). Always check the specific event's refund policy before purchasing, which is displayed on the event page.
5. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are NOT provided in the following situations:
- No-shows: Failure to attend the event without prior cancellation
- Late arrivals: Arriving after event check-in closes
- Post-event requests: Requests made after the event has started
- Dissatisfaction: Disappointment with event content (contact organizer directly)
- No-refund events: Events explicitly marked as non-refundable
- Free events: No payment was made, so no refund applies
- Account violations: If your account was suspended for Terms violations
6. Platform Processing Fees
Our platform charges an 8% processing fee on paid tickets. This fee covers:
- Payment gateway processing costs
- Platform infrastructure and maintenance
- Customer support services
- Secure transaction processing
Fee Refund Policy:
- Organizer cancellation: Processing fee is refunded
- Attendee cancellation: Processing fee is NOT refunded
- Platform error: Full refund including processing fee
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, follow these steps:
- Contact the Organizer First: For event-specific issues, reach out to the organizer through the event page or their contact information.
- Submit a Refund Request: If the organizer cannot resolve your issue, email us at support@blendapp.ae with:
- Your booking confirmation number
- Event name and date
- Reason for refund request
- Email address used for booking
- Wait for Review: We will review your request within 2 business days and respond with a decision.
- Receive Refund: Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days to your original payment method.
8. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved:
- Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
- Apple Pay: 5-10 business days
- Bank timing: Some banks may take additional time to reflect the refund
Refunds are always issued to the original payment method. We cannot process refunds to a different card or account.
9. Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be issued in the following situations:
- Event was significantly shorter than advertised
- Major changes to event content or lineup
- Partial cancellation (e.g., only certain sessions cancelled)
- Venue change resulting in attendee inconvenience
The partial refund amount is determined on a case-by-case basis.
10. Ticket Transfers
Instead of requesting a refund, you may be able to transfer your ticket:
- Ticket transfers are subject to organizer approval
- Contact the organizer directly to request a transfer
- Name changes may be processed up to 24 hours before the event
- Some events may not allow ticket transfers
11. Force Majeure Events
In cases of events cancelled due to circumstances beyond the organizer's control (force majeure), including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions or lockdowns
- Public health emergencies
- Civil unrest or terrorism
- Extreme weather conditions
In such cases, the organizer may offer:
- Full refund
- Credit for future events
- Ticket transfer to rescheduled date
12. Disputes and Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank:
- We respond to all refund requests within 2 business days
- Most issues can be resolved faster through our support team
- Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension
